New Semester Begins Sept. 3rd

Every Fri. 3pm-4:30pm
This Teen group will have access to learning a new technique or style each week. We will have a weekly theme or subject Teens will be able to try the weekly subject or work on their own projects. We promise to have fun together and be creative. Students can support one another. Art relieves stress, encourages creative thinking, boosts self-esteem, and provides a sense of accomplishment. Sounds great? Join us on Fridays and make art! Basic materials are included but personal projects may require additional costs.

Cost-$40/mo- this covers the facility costs and guest instructor fees
This a weekly opportunity for adults to come be part of a like minded art community group. Set aside this time weekly to work on your pieces and have support/feedback from other artists. There will be regular opportunities to learn new skills and techniques provided by guest instructors or fellow group members. It is not limited to one medium.

Puppies from Black Dog Club Rescue
Join a celebration of sweet fluffy furbaby life as we set up our yoga mats under a big southern pecan shade tree, at this beautiful country location. Historic home, now art gallery, hosts a variety of ways to reduce stress and Yoga is now one. Bring your own mat, or borrow one of ours. This is a Beginner style adult class that offers step by step visual walk through instruction, in a casual atmosphere. Feel welcomed, and find comfort as modifications are offered through practice to reach alignment that is unique to you. And it's perfectly okay if your attention is lead to the cuteness of a puppy, they are welcomed on the mat for this Sunday evening class.
Part of the proceeds will be donated to the Black Dog Club rescue that provides the puppies.
2 Day Class
Sat. August 24th, 1pm-4pm and Sun. August 25th, 1pm-3pm
Adults and Teens 15y and up

Spend these 2 days creating a fun unique flower pot to provide art to your home. On Day 1 we will design and use broken pieces of ceramics, glass and findings then adhere them to the flower pot. On day 2 we will grout our pots. You will also have the option of taking home a new plant to add to your pot! Mosaic Pots can be used for other means such as utensils or pens and pencils storage or simply decoration.
Materials for the project are included, however please feel free to bring any special items from home to contribute to your art piece.

Sneak away on Thursday's at 7pm for over a 6 Week Sequence beginning August 29th, with a class emphasis on muscular relaxation, supported stretch, body alignment, and breath, to achieve a quiet state of mind and body. Classes build upon one another and are encouraged to be taken as a package that you can easily pre-register through Artmosphere. These classes are designed as a counterbalance for those who are active, "busy" or simply seek a quiet space to cultivate Mindfulness Based Stress Reduction. Utilize gentle movement to nourish joints and body systems, enjoy the ambiance of low light, and guided meditations. You will love walking through this historic home now art gallery, located in a peaceful and quiet country location. Mark these dates on your calendar, and don't forget to add the free 20 minute outdoor practice that opens for Soil Trotters Garden monthly meeting at Artmosphere, September 12th and October 10th - the garden club meeting will begin on those nights at 7pm which guests are invited to stay and learn more about Soil Trotters as well.

Create the beauty of this prickly succulent! A cactus flower symbolizes warmth, protection and endurance, a perfect symbol for any home.

Fri. Sept. 20th
Ages- Adults and Teens 15y and up
Enjoy a relaxing evening of jewelry making, light-fare refreshments, aromatherapy and creating your own jewelry masterpiece! There will be 3 jewelry making project stations- a beaded bracelet or necklace, a paint pour glass pendant bracelet or necklace, and a dot painted pendant necklace. Participants can make up to 3 projects during this class.
Some of the proceeds of this class will benefit the nonprofit NCFASDInformed.
We will also have on display handcrafted items for sale made by inspirational teens and young adults living with FASD!
Note- We will NOT have child care at this event.
September is Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder Awareness Month. What is FASD? FASD (Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder) is caused by prenatal alcohol exposure. FASD is a brain-based disorder with behavioral symptoms. It can result in a broad range of cognitive, behavioral, health, adaptive functioning, and learning difficulties. There also may be a significant number of comorbid physical and mental health conditions with an FASD.
NCFASDInformed was incorporated in January 2018. NCFASD Informed has received 501(c)(3) nonprofit tax exempt status. Based in Chapel Hill, North Carolina, we will strive to create FASD (Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorder) informed communities of parents, teachers, and health care professionals around North Carolina by increasing awareness around multiple issues.
The mission of our all volunteer, grassroots, nonprofit organization is to create FASD informed communities to empower individuals impacted by prenatal exposure to alcohol. Our vision: a world where individuals with FASD can thrive.

We will have the canvas traced out with an outline of the portrait to get you started.

A beginner photography workshop that will enable you to produce polished candid and posed portraits with the tools you have on hand. Learn what settings produce the most pleasing portraits. Learn tips for framing and posing your subjects in the best possible way. We'll discuss the challenges of both indoor and outdoor portraits. Learn about different styles of portraiture and spend some time working on the skills learned in class.
Sat. Oct. 26th
Adults - 18yrs and up (Teens considered with parental consent)

Within about two hours, without any of that crazy "artistic ability", take home a pretty awesome piece of art to display in your home. You will also get a handout loaded with tips and tricks!
Participants need to wear old clothes as the inks will permanently stain the clothing that they come in contact with.

A workshop to discuss the challenges landscape photography commonly presents. Learn settings, tips, and tricks to get the results you want on location. Learn how to frame, compose, and shoot a great landscape. Discuss what gear is best for a landscape photographer and how best to plan a setup for landscape photography.
